Seoul 7-Day Itinerary: Neighborhoods, Palaces and a Day Trip (2026)
Last updated: October 2026 · Written by the Seoul Travel Tips team, based in Seoul
A week lets you slow down. Instead of racing through the highlights, this plan gives each part of Seoul its own day, adds the museums and quieter neighborhoods most short trips skip, and includes one day outside the city — the DMZ, Suwon’s fortress or Nami Island. If you have less time, see our 3-day or 5-day plans.

Practical Notes for a Week
- Transport: a 7-day Climate Card costs ₩20,000 + ₩3,000 card and covers Seoul subways and buses. You’ll still need T-money for the day trip and airport.
- Where to stay: one base for the whole week saves time — Myeongdong, Jongno or Dongdaemun work well. → Where to stay in Seoul
- Laundry and rest: plan one slow morning midweek; many hotels and guesthouses have coin laundries.
- Rain days: swap in the museums, COEX or a spa (jjimjilbang) afternoon.
